ITINERARY n.7
Outer Ring of the Berici Hills โ clockwise
The great resistance tour, where the Berici Hills are touched rather than climbed
The Outer Ring Clockwise it is the most convenient route smooth and panoramic among those that embrace the Berici Hills. It doesn't seek direct confrontation with the steepest slopes, but rather builds its own difficulty. on distance, continuity and effort management.
The altimetric profile speaks clearly:
- very fast first half,
- second part in constant growth,
- finale that presents the only real selective moment.
It's a tour that needs to be tackled head-on, rather than explosively.
The external ring is the almost exclusively flat itinerary that circumnavigates the entire Berici Hills area. The tour runs entirely along cycle paths and in any case low traffic roads. In the first part of the hourly tour you pass the cycle stations on the eastern side up to Orgiano where you deviate southwards in a less traveled variant up to Spessa and Bagnolo from which the cycle path dedicated to the late Vicenza champion Davide Rebellin starts. The ring ends by returning to flank the hills on the western side and then again to the north with the only climb of the day the n.100 BREGANZOLA.

The ascent of the 100 Berici Climbs in evidence
๐ข Climb 100 โ BREGANZOLA
Category: Green
It is the only official climb of the 100 Berici Climbs present in this itinerary, but it arrives in the most delicate moment of the tour.
- Gentle slope
- Regular
- Never individually demanding
However, after so many kilometers, the Breganzola weighsNot because of its technical difficulty, but because of the context in which it is located. It's a climb that must be managed, not underestimated.
Environment and landscape
- Long stretches between the plains and the first hills
- Wide views of the Berici and Euganean Hills
- Often smooth roads
- Traffic generally limited
It is an itinerary that "embraces" the Berici Hills without entering them all the way, perfect for those who love the continuous cycling journey.
To whom it is recommended
- Endurance cyclists
- Long workouts at medium pace
- Bottom exits
- Who wants to know the perimeter of the Berici Hills
Less suitable for those looking for walls or extreme climbs, ideal instead for build quality kilometers.
In short (Italian only)
The Outer Ring Clockwise it's the turn of the steadiness:
It doesn't impress with its slopes, but it wins you over with its balance, fluidity and mileage.
La Breganzola, the only climb recorded, becomes the symbol of this route: simple on paper, significant in reality.
An itinerary to be savored, rather than attacked.
