Berici Ring – Long clockwise
The Grand Tour: Endurance, Panoramas, and Iconic Climbs
The Berici Ring Long clockwise It is the most complete and ambitious version of the tour around the Berici Hills. Here it is not just about tackling individual climbs, but manage a full day of cycling, made up of distance, altitude difference and continuity of effort.
The altimetric profile speaks clearly: almost 100 km with over 1.700 meters of altitude difference, intelligently but relentlessly distributed.
Itinerary no. 5 starts from Monte Berico Santaurio and in the first kilometers runs clockwise along the Riviera Berica cycle path. The first words of the tour is to stretch your legs, climb n.16 is green BUGANO HILL.
We continue along the wine route touching all the main cycle stations on the eastern edge, we arrive in Toara and climb the short but challenging climb 35 BOCCADORNO. We are in the Pozzolo Valley but immediately after a few hundred meters we turn left towards the town of Campolongo. We cross the Val Liona from north to south and return to pedal uphill from Villa del Ferro along the southern block of the Berici up to Lonigo. We continue towards the north west and in Meledo we begin to climb with the climb 63 MELEDO ALTO which takes us quite directly to Grancona. After a short rest in the beautiful panoramic square of Grancona, we descend towards Brendola and tackle part of the challenging climb of the Rocca dei Vescovi which takes us along a wild path to the Brendola Golf Club. We descend to Altavilla Vicentina along the steep descent of Selva Alta and tackle the Colle di Valmarana thanks to the climb 92 RISORGIMENTO. We continue in the final kilometers reconquering the Dorsale dei Berici with the climb 99 PILLA. We pedal on a slight slope the last kilometers up to Monte Berico Sanctuary, the departure/arrival cycle station.
It is an itinerary that requires leg, head and patience, perfect for those who want to experience the Berici Hills in their entirety.

🔵 Climb 63 – MELEDO ALTO

A connecting climb, but not to be underestimated.

Placed in the context of the long ring, it becomes more challenging than the card says.
