3. When is it open?

4. Are the roads closed to traffic?

NO the roads are free to access, it is therefore recommended to pay attention and always respect the highway code. In any case, the majority of roads have low vehicular traffic and very low percentages of heavy vehicles with the exception of agricultural vehicles, buses, vans and vans. Several streets are cycle paths, and very narrow dedicated mainly to cycling.

5. Are all the roads asphalted?

6. What types of bicycles can I ride on the park's roads?

With all types of bicycles, in any case the most suitable are road and gravel bikes.

The 100 climbs are suitable for road bikes and gravel

The 50 GRAVEL climbs are suitable for GRAVEL and/or MTB.
Both road and dirt e-bikes are also permitted.

7. How can I find the climbs and/or itineraries?

The bericiclimbs.com website is complete with all the climb and itinerary information. Within these, you'll find not only Strava maps but also the GPX track, which you can download and import to your bike computer, smartphone, or smartwatch. Furthermore, the Geographic Overview page features an interactive map showing the interactive route of each climb.

From 2026, ONE STEP BEYONF micro-itineraries will also be available, allowing you to complete the Brevetto 100 climbs and the Gravel one by completing all the proposed micro-itineraries!

8. Does the Berici Climbs park have specific signs?

Awareness signs for motorists are being developed in collaboration with the park's participating authorities, including "Respect cyclists - 1,5 m distance" signs. Additionally, each climb will be equipped with special signage, including small information panels detailing the name, number, color, and key information about the climb itself.

10. Do I need a membership or a sports medical certificate to participate in the contests?

11. What do you need to participate in the contests?

For all the information see the pages relating to the Berici Climbs Contests.

12. Can I participate in contests with the electric bike?

YES to all contests, just specify when registering that you will be using an e-bike or pedal-assisted bicycle.

13. Type of registration and membership for the Berici Climbs contests

Registration for the Berici Climbs Contests includes membership in AiCS a B&C Ssd a rl, a sports association specializing in organizing cycling tourism events. Please note that, for liability reasons, these contests are reserved exclusively for members, who will therefore be covered by insurance.

Please note that participants will not be issued a "Sports Athlete" card, but a membership card, indicating the discipline "Cycle Tourism" for insurance purposes. This card has no connection to the sports card used for participation in other competitive events.

In fact, AiCS has been providing two types of membership in the cycling sector for several years:

Membership card, intended for participation in social activities (in our case, cycle tourism).

Sports Card, required for participation in official competitions.

According to sporting regulations and the FCI agreement, dual "sports" membership is not permitted. However, AICS membership of the "association" type has no restrictions and does not fall within the definition of dual membership within the scope of the sporting activity covered by the agreement.

It is therefore possible with the Aics Association membership to also hold a competitive sports card of the ACSI or FCI type, typically used to participate in competitive cycling events such as granfondo.

For further clarification, please refer to the official regulations of the respective federations.

14. Where can I stop to eat/sleep?

In the BERICI STOP&GO section of the website, you can discover all the cyclist-friendly accommodations in the park. The warm hospitality of the Berici Climbs park facilities is eager to welcome you and your bike!

15. I like Berici Climbs, I would like to support the project and make my contribution, what should I do?

CERTAIN! Any ideas and contributions are welcome, we need everyone's synergy to grow, write an email to info@bericiclimbs.com to collaborate with this wonderful project.

The Gravel Badges

Badge I - Romeo and Juliet Castles

They symbolize the entire new north-western territory of Berici Climbs, the offshoots of the Castellari Mountains, spectacular places of transition between the Berico plateau and the pre-Alpine slopes.

The very difficult Strada dei Carri (Wagon Road) that leads to the castles in the municipality of Montecchio Maggiore is representative of this part of the park.

Badge II - Sanctuary of Monte Berico

A symbolic site for the entire park, of great and rare beauty, beloved by the Giro d'Italia with two stage finishes in ten years. It also hosts two gravel climbs, including the wonderful and pleasant Colonia Bedin.

Badge III-Villabalzana

It represents a bastion, a port of arrival for many climbs in the northern area. A wonderful place surrounded by greenery with breathtaking views of Lake Fimon and the entire pre-Alpine chain.

Badge IV - Grancona

A symbolic place of the southern block, its large square, the church that looks more like an ancient castle and the panoramic terrace overlooking the Val Liona make Grancona a sought-after and desired destination.

Badge V - Hermitage of Dan Donato

It is a magical place, full of spirituality, where the rock of the hills merges with the human action to draw a perfect frame, a painting from which you can admire the skyline of the Euganean Hills and recover the seconds of time passed, here you can perceive the true essence of Berici Climbs, memento vivere.

VI- Gravel Super Hero Badge

The badge that certifies that you are the real heroes! Climbing 50 gravel climbs is a great feat that deserves to be celebrated, because the effort is hard, but even more so is managing to complete a complex journey in an often complicated and crowded life. This is an achievement of resilience and passion, it's your achievement! Hold on to it!
