"One Step Beyond" by Madness is a song that, rather than "narrating" with lyrics, ignites a collective ritual: an invitation to move, to get into the rhythm, to take—literally—one step beyond. Those few opening lines are the moment you clip into the pedals, zip up, take that last sip. It's not narrative: it's ignition. Your mind switches from "normal life" to "exit mode." The ska rhythm of this iconic song has an elastic push: it's not a constant hammer, it's a bounce. On a bike, it's the right cadence on dirt and asphalt: you don't push randomly, you "float," and the speed comes naturally. A step beyond fatigue. A step beyond your comfort zone. A step where the gravel and asphalt cease...
THE NEW INCREDIBLE SITE 2026! After two seasons, a brand new website is born, packed with new features and new content, the result of the many kilometers traveled in these two years and of many experiences in the field. Here are all the new features: Extended Area: the Berici Climbs park area is extended! To the southeast, the heights of Albettone and Lovertino, the hills that form the transition to the Euganean Hills, have been included, while to the northwest we have included a transition area towards the Prealps that includes part of the Castellari Mountains from Montecchio Maggiore (western limit) to Monteviale (northern limit). 100 new climbs, all on asphalt for road bikes, more than 30% of brand new climbs have been introduced and...
Portage Guide, or When You Need to Push Your Bike. In short, portage refers to all those situations in which a cyclist must push their bike to overcome obstacles that make pedaling impossible. And yes, obstacles are subjective: for some it's a log on a trail, for others it's carrying their bike on their shoulder to the top of a mountain. But the important thing is that there are different portage techniques, each suited to specific situations: Push portage. This involves pushing the bike across the ground. You can hold the bike by the handlebars, stem, or saddle, and it's the least tiring option. It's suitable for short stretches and relatively wide, low-traffic trails.
2025 has been a year filled with excitement and great success for Berici Climbs. The Brevetto dei Berici, now in its second official season (third if considering the 2023 edition), attracted an extraordinary turnout of 130 participants, 57 of whom reached the Olympus of 100 climbs, earning them a place in the Berici Climbs Hall of Fame! The female component was strong, with several American cycling enthusiasts, both male and female, joining the ranks, who thanks to Berici Climbs have discovered many new and wonderful places in our region. In addition to the great success of the Brevetto dei 100 climbs, 2025 also saw the launch of the innovative Team Race competition. A total of 11 teams participated in the first edition. A...

MONTE GRAPPA, THE HOME OF CLIMBERS Just over 50 km as the crow flies we distance the top of Monte Grappa with the beautiful Bassano Refuge and the military shrine from the panoramic terrace of Monte Berico, one of the most iconic starting bases for exploring the Berici Climbs Park from which you can enjoy a fabulous view of the overlooking Sanctuary of Monte Berico and Vicenza below. From the Piazzale della Vittoria, along the white Palladian-style balustrade there are several wrought iron pointing arrows that indicate the exact position of the mountains of the pre-Alpine arc, scrolling towards the east the eye finds confirmation of what is reported on the arrow... by looking up looking towards the north east the profile of King Monte Grappa stands out unmistakably...
The Berici Climbs itineraries were conceived from an idea, born from numerous trips abroad to the magnificent German capital, Berlin. BERLINER RINGBAHN The Berliner Ringbahn, commonly known as the "Ring", is a very important cornerstone, if not the essence of urban transport. Built in 1871 and originally used for the transport of goods, it is called a "ring", although its true shape is that of a dog's head and for this reason it is also called Hundekopf. Some even claim that the head is that of a basset hound, but this is definitely an excess of imagination. With its four "cardinal points" represented by the stations of Westkreuz, Südkreuz, Ostkreuz and Gesundbrunnen, the Ring winds for 37 km and 27 stations and crosses seven of the twelve districts into which it is divided...
As a boy, that red polka dot shirt fascinated me partly because of its originality and partly because it resembled the pimpa, an evergreen cartoon that I had always liked. These were the years of the Diablo Claudio Chiappucci who frolicked on the epic climbs of the Tour de France, conquering podiums and wearing red polka dot jerseys, the jersey of the leader of the Gran Boucle climbers. The shirt was a symbol of exploits, of true effort and of peaks conquered through legendary feats. After a few years, the Pirate, the myth, Marco Pantani arrived, and these days marks the twentieth anniversary of his death. Marco brought many people to cycling, including myself, he made the effort popular, and thanks to...
Created with the eyes of the cycle tourist This portal is not a simple website but a great little Expo to let the world know about the beauty of the Berici Hills! The foundations of bericiclimbs.com were created by putting yourself in the shoes of a cycle tourist eager for new discoveries and adventures, totally unaware of where and what the Berici Hills are and above all of the wonder contained in over 165 square kilometres. The cycle tourist wants to plan their trip in detail and the site allows you to do so in a simple, intuitive way but at the same time provides all the tools to plan one or more days inside the Berici Climbs park offering itineraries, climbs, fantastic locations to visit , maps, altitude profiles, videos, photos, GPX tracks...
Eureka It was the dawn of 2020 when, on a freezing winter morning, consulting those beautiful ski maps full of colours, lines and locations... I imagined the large Berici Hills area as a huge ski area... in which the access climbs at the top of the hills they became slopes characterized by various degrees of slope and consequently of different colours. This is how Berici Climbs was born, from a vision, from a passion... why not create something unique, original to help people discover the Berici Hills area, so beautiful but still unexplored and little appreciated? Create a maze of roads, climbs, cycle tourism itineraries classified, like ski slopes, in different colours...
They symbolize the entire new north-western territory of Berici Climbs, the offshoots of the Castellari Mountains, spectacular places of transition between the Berico plateau and the pre-Alpine slopes.
The very difficult Strada dei Carri (Wagon Road) that leads to the castles in the municipality of Montecchio Maggiore is representative of this part of the park.
A symbolic site for the entire park, of great and rare beauty, beloved by the Giro d'Italia with two stage finishes in ten years. It also hosts two gravel climbs, including the wonderful and pleasant Colonia Bedin.
It represents a bastion, a port of arrival for many climbs in the northern area. A wonderful place surrounded by greenery with breathtaking views of Lake Fimon and the entire pre-Alpine chain.
A symbolic place of the southern block, its large square, the church that looks more like an ancient castle and the panoramic terrace overlooking the Val Liona make Grancona a sought-after and desired destination.
It is a magical place, full of spirituality, where the rock of the hills merges with the human action to draw a perfect frame, a painting from which you can admire the skyline of the Euganean Hills and recover the seconds of time passed, here you can perceive the true essence of Berici Climbs, memento vivere.
The badge that certifies that you are the real heroes! Climbing 50 gravel climbs is a great feat that deserves to be celebrated, because the effort is hard, but even more so is managing to complete a complex journey in an often complicated and crowded life. This is an achievement of resilience and passion, it's your achievement! Hold on to it!
